Difficult experiences with previous solutions

Juist had been working with server-side tagging for some time and was previously using a different solution. With the help of an outside consultant, they started working on it for several months. The intention was that eventually the entire implementation would be done in-house.

The reality, however, proved different. The process was difficult, with mixed results and a consultant who did not always have the right expertise. Because server-side tagging was still relatively new, many things were not always clear even to the consultant. This led to a lot of trial and error, while Juist meanwhile had customers who depended on good tracking.

Expertise around the corner

Through a well-targeted ad - how could it be otherwise? - Juist first came across AdPage. After an online webinar, a presentation was scheduled at Juist's office. Jochem and Bram gave an on-site presentation.

"Jochem and Bram showed us the rationale behind server-side tagging and why you should use it and, more importantly, what happens if you don't. It became clear that there is a lot of knowledge at AdPage."

"The technology was so complex and also very dynamic, which is why we finally decided: we just have to have a partner who can do this well, who is reliable, who is a hyper-specialist on this cutting edge."

A key difference from their previous experience is reliability as an organization. Whereas before they were dependent on one external consultant, now they have a partner who guarantees continuity.

In addition, customer onboarding is also a big improvement. "The onboarding as you have put it down through the portal works very well because it just very clearly shows the steps."
